Judge Michael E. Huber, the longest sitting circuit court judge in Wyoming, retired from the Seventh Circuit Court on February 4, 2014. Before he became a judge, Judge Huber served as a prosecutor in the Natrona County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. He received both his undergraduate degree and J.D. from Creighton University. Judge Huber helped implement the Natrona County Drug Court in 2002. This court provides an "alternative sentencing program for adult, non-violent, substance abusing offenders" with the goal "to improve quality of life through the efficient and effective use of community resources that will help those addicted to drugs and alcohol become drug free." Regarding his years spent on the bench, Judge Huber reflected: “I’ve considered it a real privilege to serve as a judge all these years. I hope I’ve done a good job at it.”
