On November 10, 2014, Judge Leslie A. Dunn retired from the Superior Court of Los Angeles County after 14 years on the bench.[1][2] After her graduation from the Loyola Law School in 1974, Dunn began working as a deputy city attorney for the City of Los Angeles and, in 1979, became the chief of the Branch Operations Division. Two years later, Dunn was appointed to the Los Angeles Municipal Court by former Governor Jerry Brown. She then joined the Superior Court of Los Angeles County when it became unified with the Los Angeles Municipal Court in 2000.[1] Though she had "loved every single day" of her time on the bench, Dunn, at 65-years-old, said she wanted to "leave while [she was] still enjoying" her work. In her retirement, she hopes to enjoy time with her family, maybe travel, and does not immediately plan on doing anything law-related.[1] | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
