Retirement Laws Committee, South Dakota State Senate
The Retirement Laws Committee is a standing committee of the South Dakota State Senate.
Per Section S4-1 of the Senate Rules, committees of the South Dakota State Senate are chosen by the President Pro Tempore and Minority Leader. Committees are assigned after the general election.[1] The President of the Senate is an ex officio member of the Legislative Procedure Committee and the President Pro Tempore is the chair of the Legislative Procedure Committee.[1] For all other standing committees, the member that is announced first serves as the chair of the committee.[2]
