Retirement and Independent Entities Committee, Utah House of Representatives
The Retirement and Independent Entities Committee is a standing committee of the Utah House of Representatives.
Per the House Rules, the House Retirement and Independent Entities Committee is made up of the House members serving on the Joint Retirement and Independent Entities Committee.[1] Utah Code establishes that House members on the joint committee are appointed by the Speaker of the House. Members serve a two-year term on the committee, which meets at least twice a year.[2] The exact timing of committee assignments is not specified in the rules or code. A quorum is defined as a majority of the committee's members.[1]
