Retirements aplenty in Colorado judiciary

Colorado: After five more retirements announced this weekend, Governor Bill Ritter and the state's judicial nominating commissions will stay busy through the summer. Governor Ritter is up to 102 judicial appointments in his first term as governor of Colorado.[1]
The judges that announced leaving the bench on in the last few days are:
- J. Patrick Kelly, effective October 31, 2010, and Timothy J. Simmons, effective December 31, 2010, both of the Colorado 4th Judicial District[2]
- Cynthia M. Hartman, of the Larimer County Court, retiring effective November 30, 2010[3]
- Michael H. Trujillo, of the Rio Grande County Court, stepping down as of January 11, 2011.[4]
- Sharon L. Hansen, of the Colorado 22nd Judicial District, will retire effective October 1, 2010.[5]
