Rex Davis (Texas)
Rex Davis (Republican Party) was a judge for Place 2 of the Texas Tenth District Court of Appeals. He assumed office in 2009. He left office on December 31, 2020.
Davis first took office in May 1996 and served as the court's chief justice from 1996 to 2003. He left the court in 2003 to resume work as an attorney, but in 2008 he successfully ran for another term on the appellate court.[1][2][3][4]
Education
Justice Davis completed his undergraduate work at Temple Junior College and the University of Texas at Austin. In 1974, he received his J.D. degree from Baylor University School of Law.[1]
Career
Justice Davis worked as a trial lawyer in Central Texas from 1974 until 1996. He served on the Court of Appeals from 1996 to 2003. He then worked as a lawyer again until 2008, when he was elected to the Court of Appeals.[1]
