Campaign website

Gutierrez's campaign website stated the following:

THE ISSUES…..

  • THE MONEY YOU GAINED FROM STIMULUS CHECKS IS BEING WIPED OUT BY SKYROCKETING PRICES! GASOLINE, FOOD, CARS…. EVERYTHING IS GOING UP. WE MUST FIGHT INFLATION WITH SOUND ECONOMIC POLICIES.
  • KEEP OUR NEIGHBORHOODS SAFE AND HOME VALUES HIGH BY MAINTAINING AND INCREASING FUNDING FOR POLICE.
  • STOP FOCUSING ON THE COLOR OF A PERSON’S SKIN—INSTEAD FOCUS ON THE CONTENT OF A PERSON’S CHARACTER.5
  • STOP THIS INSANE DIVIDING OF AMERICA INTO GROUPS: RACES, COLORS, NATIONALITIES, GENDERS, RICH, POOR. WE ARE ONE PEOPLE—ALL AMERICANS. A HOUSE DIVIDED AGAINST ITSELF CANNOT STAND!6
  • SAN BERNARDINO IS A DISGRACE! ERADICATE HOMELESSNESS, CRIME AND DRUGS. FOCUS ON DRUG ADDICTION TREATMENT AND MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT. THE HOMELESS NEED TREATMENT IN SHELTERS, NOT ON THE STREETS!
  • SECURE OUR BORDERS. SAY ‘NO’ TO THE CARTELS, DRUG PUSHERS AND HUMAN TRAFFICKERS.
  • REWARD PEOPLE WHO WORK AND CONTRIBUTE, NOT ONLY THOSE WHO TAKE.
  • SAVE A LOST GENERATION OF YOUNG MEN WHO NEED TO TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF FATHERHOOD SERIOUSLY AND BECOME ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS, OR LACK THEREOF.
  • PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH
  • CUT TAXES, REGULATIONS AND EXCESSIVE SPENDING
  • SUPPORT SMALL, FAMILY BUSINESSES—THE BACKBONE OF OUR ECONOMY.
  • EXPAND (AND EXPLODE) ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL!

I DO NOT BELIEVE IN DEFUNDING THE POLICE

I believe in keeping the 10 Commandments and the Golden Rule. I believe in non-violent protest. You cannot destroy other people’s property by looting, plundering, and setting another’s property on fire. We need morality and common decency. MURDER RATES ARE JUMPING HIGHER! When bad actors are looting and robbing all over our cities, the police cannot respond to our calls. With fewer police and longer response times, we need our 2nd Amendment right to bear arms to protect our families and our property. I do NOT support defunding the police. We need MORE police. Want to keep your home values high? Then KEEP YOUR COMMUNITY SAFE! I do NOT believe in gun control. When our right to bear arms is taken away, only the criminals will have access to guns.

RISING PRICES ARE KILLING US!

The high price of gasoline, food, cars, and nearly everything else has destroyed what money came in from the stimulus and other government giveaways. Let’s fight inflation by reducing wasteful spending, lowering taxes and giving people a reason to work hard and save money.

RACISM HAS NO PLACE IN AMERICA

Racism is wrong. But I do NOT believe America is a racist nation. We have come a long, long way in the fight for equality and fair opportunity for all. There are still racist people out there. Too bad! Don’t give them undeserved credit. Unfortunately, there will always be stupid people. But they are few. That’s not your problem. Be the best person you can be. Martin Luther King asked us to judge others by the CONTENT OF THEIR CHARACTER, NOT THE COLOR OF THEIR SKIN. I am SICK of identity politics and this silly obsession with race and color. I am colorblind. I don’t care about color. Don’t let the politicians divide us.

MEDICARE FOR ALL?

Giving Medicare to every human in our country isn’t feasible, and will destroy Medicare for those who need it most—those over 65 and the disabled.

NATIONAL DEFENSE

I believe in PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH. When you are King of the hill, your enemies are less likely to threaten you. It is easier to defend the hill when you sit atop of it.

EQUALITY OF OPPORTUNITY

We have the freedom to be successful, and the freedom to fail. Some politicians tell us that there is too much income inequality; that some people make more money than others. I DON’T BELIEVE IN INCOME EQUALITY. I BELIEVE IN EQUALITY OF OPPORTUNITY.

I BELIEVE IN CUTTING TAXES, DEREGULATING, RESTRAINING SPENDING AND EXPANDING ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL.

THE LOST BOYS

I believe in personal responsibility and accountability. We are on the verge of losing another generation of young men who refuse to be fathers to their children and who refuse to take responsibility for their lack of education and general slothfulness. Many young men, mostly in our struggling communities of color, have lost sight of their identity and purpose in life. We need leaders who will inspire them to take control of their lives and be present to raise healthy, balanced and LOVED children.

SAN BERNARDINO IS A DISGRACE!

I’m sorry, and I don’t mean to be rude, but even the criminals are trying to get out of San Bernardino. Driving through San Bernardino and surrounding cities is extremely sad—people wandering through the streets yelling at the sky.. Homeless people everywhere, mostly addicted, dangerous and mentally ill. The least among us… the lost and the last, need our help! Let’s clean up our streets by getting these people treatment and shelter IMMEDIATELY. The children of San Bernardino and surrounding cities deserve safe streets, parks and school grounds. What’s happening in many parts of the district is a disgrace, and we must attack these issues of homelessness, addiction and mental illness with all the energy of our souls. And we WILL win!!

OUR BORDER NEEDS ORDER! STOP THE CARTELS AND THE FLOW OF ILLEGAL DRUGS!

I believe in safe and secure borders. There must be order, compassion, and strict adherence to the rule of law. Illegal drugs like Fentanyl from China and other addictive substances are killing thousands of young Americans.

THE SANCTITY OF LIFE—WE CAN DO BETTER!

“For can a woman forget her sucking child? That she should not have compassion on the son of her womb?”7 The unborn child is entitled to sanctuary while vulnerable in the womb of its mother. Violence against the unborn is a terrible tragedy. Too many pregnancies are the result of bad decisions by two people. They are not the fault of the child. Inconvenience is a poor excuse to kill an unborn child. We need tougher policies that would require men to take financial responsibility for the pregnancies they cause, and policies that support young women as they bring these little ones into the world. I believe in freedom, but not the freedom to take human life.

THIS I BELIEVE

I believe our Founding Fathers were led by the hand of God to create the first free people to survive as a nation in modern times, with a new kind of constitution giving freedom, equality and justice to all. They built a free-enterprise culture to encourage industry and prosperity.8

Statistically it can be proven that Americans are the most generous people on the planet Earth. Why? IT’S THE PROSPERITY WE HAVE BECAUSE OF THE FREEDOMS THIS NATION GIVES US! Those same Founding Fathers believed this new nation could not survive without morality, virtue and devotion to the author of our blessings.

I believe in Freedom of Religion, Freedom of Expression and the Right to Bear Arms,[2]
