Rex Weathers
Rex Weathers was a 2014 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 1st Congressional District of Mississippi.[1] He was defeated by Ron Dickey in the Democratic primary on June 3, 2014.
Weathers was previously a 2011 Democratic candidate for District 1 of the Mississippi House of Representatives. He was defeated by Thomas McCarley in the August 2 primary.
According to the Associated Press, Weathers is a perennial candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives but "has campaigned little in previous races."[2] Weathers is said to have worked various jobs in northeast Mississippi; he was most recently employed at a nursing home in the town of Boonesville.

Weathers ran in the 2014 election for the U.S. House to represent Mississippi's 1st District. Weathers sought the Democratic nomination in the primary on June 3, 2014, but lost to Ron Dickey.

2011
Weathers ran in the 2011 election for Mississippi House of Representatives District 1, but lost to Thomas McCarley in the Democratic primary on August 2, 2011. Republican incumbent Lester Carpenter ran unopposed in the August 2 Republican primary.[3]
