Reynaldo Alegria
Reynaldo Alegria was a candidate for the Place 5 seat on the Donna Independent School District school board in Texas. Alegria was defeated in the by-district general election on November 8, 2016.
Alegria previously served as the Place 5 representative on the board. He lost his re-election bid to challenger Eloy Infante in the general election on November 4, 2014.

Six of the seven seats on the Donna Independent School District school board were up for general election on November 8, 2016. Five of the six incumbents with expiring terms filed for re-election including Albert Sandoval (Place 2), Tammy Flores (Place 3), Nick Castillo (Place 4), David De Los Rios (Place 5), and Dennis Ramirez (Place 6). No incumbents won re-election in 2016 with Valentin Guerrero (Place 1), Donna Mery (Place 2), Alicia Reyna (Place 3), Eva Watts (Place 4), Eloy Avila (Place 5), and John Billman (Place 6) winning board seats.[1]

The November 4, 2014, general election in Donna Independent School District featured four seats up for election. The Place 3 race was a special election for an unexpired term and featured Tomasa Ramon and Rodolfo Perez. Place 5 incumbent Reynaldo Alegria ran against challenger Eloy Infante. Incumbent Angeles Magallanes ran against challenger Elpidio Yanez Jr. to keep his Place 6 seat. In the Place 7 race, incumbent Efren Ceniceros ran against challenger Juan Fransisco de los Rios.

Funding
Candidates must file reports with the Texas Ethics Commission or the appropriate county clerk.
