I am a Republican candidate for state representative for the 52nd district, which includes McCreary, Wayne, and portions of Pulaski Counties. I am an attorney Garmon & Ramsey, PLLC, a law firm that I co-founded in 2017. I was born in Somerset, Kentucky, and I was raised in Monticello, Kentucky. I currently live in Monticello with my wife, Charity, who is a nurse. I am running for this office because I believe that it is time for a new voice for our district in Frankfort. The current representative has been in this office for nearly twenty years. We need a new representative who is in touch with the people and will stand up for our district. For years we have seen our best and brightest young people leave our district because they believe there is no opportunity for them here. We must create new opportunities for future generations or our district will waste away.
  • I'm not a career politician.
  • I want to create new opportunities for future generations.
  • I want to eliminate personal income tax.

I would like to be remembered as a man who cared deeply about his home and worked every day to make it a better place for the people who live there.
There were smaller events before, but the first major historical event was September 11, 2001. I had just turned ten years old. I remember the principal of my school telling us over the intercom that the Twin Towers had been hit by airplanes. I had no idea what the Twin Towers were, but I knew it had to be a major event because it was the first time a school administrator had told us a news story over the intercom. I remember all of the adults I knew being very distraught, but I could not grasp the entirety of the situation.
My first job was during summers as a kid working with my family's carpet store and installation business. I did that for three or four summers when I was young.
