The Rhode Island Board of Governors for Higher Education, Proposal 8 was on the ballot in Rhode Island on November 2, 1982, as a legislatively referred bond question. It was approved. The measure authorized $4.6 million in bonds for improvements at the University of Rhode Island's Kingston and Bay campuses.[1]
