Rhode Island Lotteries, Proposal 4 (1973)

The Rhode Island Lotteries, Proposal 4 was on the ballot in Rhode Island on November 6, 1973, as a convention referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment replaced Article IV, Section 12 of the Rhode Island Constitution, barring lotteries except those run by the state as well as any preexisting private lotteries.[1]
