The Rhode Island Qualifications for Office, Proposal 2 was on the ballot in Rhode Island on November 6, 1973, as a convention referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment replaced Article III, Section 1 of the Rhode Island Constitution, barring anyone not qualified to vote for an office to be elected to it.[1]
