The Rhode Island Recreational Building Authority, Proposal 9 was on the ballot in Rhode Island on November 6, 1973, as a legislatively referred bond question. It was approved. The measure extended the Rhode Island Recreational Building Authority's power to insure payments on a mortgage loan covering one private recreational project by increasing the insurable amount from $1 million to $5 million. The maximum aggregate amount of unpaid principle balances on insurable loans was increased from $5 million to $20 million.[1]
