The Rhode Island Shore Use and Environmental Protection, Constitutional Amendment 9, also known as Question 9, was on the ballot in Rhode Island on November 4, 1986, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment defined rights of fishery and shore privileges and expanded state and local powers to protect them.[1]
