The Rhode Island Transportation, Proposal 5 was on the ballot in Rhode Island on November 5, 1974, as a legislatively referred bond question. It was defeated. The measure would have authorized $16.1 million in bonds for highways, public transit, aeronautic facilities and a maintenance garage.[1]
