The Rhode Island Transportation Question, also known as Question 2, was on the ballot in Rhode Island on November 8, 1988, as a legislatively referred bond question. It was approved. The measure authorized $98,580,000 in bonds for transportation. $62,035,000 went towards road infrastructure, $2,220,000 funded replacement buses and a garage on Aquidneck Island, $30,325,000 went towards state airfields and the remainder funded the state's share of the Providence River Relocation -- Memorial Boulevard Extension Project.[1]
