|Judge Hunter has the only trauma-informed Family District Court in Dallas County and partners in the Children's Commission's Trauma Informed Courts Project. She is past Chair of the State Bar of Texas Child Protection Law Section.
A proven leader, Judge Hunter is past president of the Dallas Bar Association, the J. L. Turner Legal Association, the Dallas Association of Black Women Attorneys; is a former member of the State Bar of Texas Board of Directors and is immediate past Chair of the Committee for a Qualified Judiciary in Dallas.
