Ricardo Munoz
Ricardo Munoz was a member of the Chicago City Council in the state of Illinois, representing Ward 22 from 1993 to 2019. He was appointed to the council to serve a partial term in 1993 by former Mayor Richard M. Daley, following the resignation of Jesus Garcia. He won election to a full term in 1995.[1] Munoz did not seek re-election in 2019.
Munoz was a Democratic candidate for District 7 representative on the Cook County Board of Commissioners in Illinois. He later withdrew his candidacy and endorsed Alma Anaya for Commissioner.[2][3]

The city of Chicago, Illinois, held elections for city council on February 24, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was November 24, 2014.[4] In the general election for Ward 22, incumbent Ricardo Muñoz defeated Raul Montes, Jr., Neftalie Gonzalez and Robert Martinez. Alex Velazquez was removed from the ballot in December 2014.[5][6]
