Richard Golick
Richard Golick was a Republican member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing District 40. He was first elected to the chamber in 1998. Golick announced in January 2018 that he would not seek re-election in 2018. His term expired on January 13, 2019.[1]
Biography
Golick's professional experience includes working as an attorney with the Southeast Regional Counsel for Allstate Insurance Company, law clerk with the criminal division of the United States Department of Justice, legislative aide with the Senate Special Judiciary Committee, special counsel for the State Senate Republican Caucus, and law clerk in the United States Attorney's Office.[2]

2014
Elections for the Georgia House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014, with runoff elections taking place where necessary on July 22, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 7, 2014. Erick E. Allen was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent Richard M. "Rich" Golick was unopposed in the Republican primary. Allen was defeated by Golick in the general election.[7][8][9]

2010
Golick ran for re-election to the 34th District seat in 2010. He had no opposition in the July 20 primary. Golick defeated Maryline Blackburn (D) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[12]
2008
In 2008 Golick was re-elected to the Georgia House of Representatives District 34. Golick (R) finished with 12,446 votes while her opponent Earl Giddins (D) finished with 10,342 votes.[13] Golick raised $144,900 for his campaign fund.[14]
2006
On November 7, 2006, Golick won re-election to District 34 of the Georgia House of Representatives against Neil Garvin (D).[15]

At the time of his service in the legislature, Golick was a member of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce, Cure Autism Now, Friends of the Smyrna Library, Georgia Conservation Voters, Georgia District Attorneys Association, Georgia Hospital Association, Smyrna-Vinings Ducks Unlimited, South Cobb Arts Alliance, and the Vinings Rotary Club.[2]
