Rich Killion is managing partner of Elevare Communications, a Concord, N.H.-based public affairs, communications and media services firm.[1] He has been managing partner since 2004.[2] In February 2015, Republican Jeb Bush hired Killion as a 2016 campaign adviser for New Hampshire.[3]
Career
From 1989 to 1994, Rich Killion was a director with Tele-Consultants, Inc, which was a consultancy to the U.S. Navy. From 1994 to 1995, he was director of education, legislation and finance support on education policy for Taylor, Hagerty and Associates. From 1995 to 1999, he was a lecturer and managing director of public relations for Franklin Pierce University. He was New Hampshire state director for Citizens for a Sound Economy from 1999 to 2001, which was a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization.[2]
From 2001 to 2002, Killion was campaign manager for Republican Bruce Keough's unsuccessful bid for the primary nomination for Governor of New Hampshire. In 2002, he was hired as director of the Marlin Fitzwater Center for Communication at Franklin Pierce University; he served in this role until 2004. In 2004, he opened Elevare Communications.[2]
Killion was a consultant and strategist for the Mitt Romney (R-Mass.) campaign for President in New Hampshire during 2007 and 2008. He was also a senior adviser to former Governor of Minnesota Tim Pawlenty's (R) presidential campaign in New Hampshire from March to August 2011.[2]

In February 2015, Republican Jeb Bush hired Killion as a 2016 campaign adviser for New Hampshire.[3] Killion serves as a senior adviser to Right to Rise USA, a pro-Jeb Bush Super PAC that is supporting his 2016 presidential bid.
Upon his hire, Kristy Campbell, spokesman for Bush’s Right to Rise PAC, said,[4]

National Journal named Killion a "GOP Insider" in 2012.[6] In 2013, Killion was named to the list of Top 500 Influencers in American Politics by Campaigns & Elections Magazine.[7] He has also been named to the New Hampshire Union Leader's "40 under 40" series of emerging leaders.[1]
