Richard Bevan Austin (1901-1977) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Austin was nominated by President John F. Kennedy on August 7, 1961, to a seat vacated by Walter LaBuy; he was confirmed by the Senate on August 15, 1961, and received his commission that same day. He assumed senior status on October 10, 1975. He served the Northern District of Illinois until his death on February 7, 1977.[1] Austin was succeeded in this position by John Crowley.
