Richard B. Walker (Kansas)
Richard B. Walker is a judge on senior status on the Court of Appeals in Kansas. He joined the Ninth Judicial District in December 1984 and retired, assuming senior status for the Court of Appeals, on August 1, 2015.[1]
In 2010, Walker was appointed by the Kansas Supreme Court to hear oral arguments with the court, while Robert E. Davis was on medical leave.[2]

Walker was retained to District 9 with 76.5 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [3]

Walker was retained to the 9th Judicial District with 76.9% of the vote in 2010.[4][5]

Education
Walker received a B.A. in history from Bethel College in 1970 and his J.D. from University of Kansas School of Law in 1973.[2]
Career
He began his law career as a partner at Adrian & Walker, where he stayed until 1977. In 1977 and 1978, he served as chief legislative assistant to James Pearson. For the next two years, he served as vice chairman on the Kansas Adult Authority (now the Kansas Parole Board). Before he joined the Ninth Judicial District Court in 1984, Walker was a partner at Ice, Turner & Ice.[2]
