Richard Beacom is a former judge of Texas District 354.[1] He was sworn in on January 1, 1997, and re-elected unopposed in 2000, 2004, 2008, and 2012. He did not run for re-election in 2016, opting instead to retire from the bench.[2]

Beacom received an undergraduate degree in economics from Catholic University of America and a J.D. from the University of Texas, Austin.[2]

Prior to joining the bench, Beacom served in the United States Judge Advocate General Corps then worked in private practice in Hunt County for 23 years.[2]

2012 election

Beacom was re-elected without opposition to the 354th District Court in the general election.[3] Beacom defeated fellow Republicans Ray Hopson and Keith Willeford in the primary election.
