Richard D. Taylor is a federal bankruptcy judge for the United States bankruptcy court, Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas. He was first appointed to the court on January 3, 2003, and his current term will expire on January 2, 2031.[1][2][3]

Education

Taylor received an undergraduate degree from Centenary College and a J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.[4]

Career

Taylor began his career at Friday Eldredge & Clark in 1980, where the main focus of his practice was in bankruptcy law. In 1985, he was elevated to the ranks of the firm's partnership, where he remained until he was appointed to the bench. During his time as a judge, Taylor has served as an adjunct law professor at his alma mater, the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, as well as at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.[5]
