Campaign themes
2014
Dyton's campaign website highlighted the following issues:[1]
Grow the Economy
- Excerpt: "I employ almost 30 people in Wilmington. Imagine if there were 100 more people like me, we’d have 3,000 more jobs. We can make Wilmington stronger by allowing small businesses to grow and thrive. I know, firsthand, how hard it is. I will apply my experiences to bring Wilmington back."
Strengthen Public Education
- Excerpt: "My passion for education drove the creation of the ARK Learning Center. It was a labor of love so that our kids get a good start in life. Unfortunately, many of my kids will then attend substandard public schools. I can help fix this."
Reduce Crime
- Excerpt: "The State has stood by and failed to act while Wilmington has become the 8th most violent City in America. I have a plan as to how we can reduce the violence in the City and will push for it in Dover."
