Richard Gates
Richard Gates was a 2012 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 2nd Congressional District of Iowa. Gates was a Republican candidate for District 92 of the Iowa House of Representatives in the November 2, 2010, state legislative elections.
Gates intended to run in 2012, but withdrew from the race on March 11, 2012.[1]

Gates was running in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Iowa's 2nd District. Gates sought the nomination on the Republican ticket.[2]Candidates wishing to run were required to file by the signature filing deadline of March 16, 2012. The primary elections took place on June 5, 2012.

The primary elections took place on June 5, 2012.
