Richard Haggerty
Richard Haggerty (Democratic Party) is a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, representing the 30th Middlesex District. He assumed office on January 2, 2019. His current term ends on January 6, 2027.
Haggerty (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Massachusetts House of Representatives to represent the 30th Middlesex District. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Richard Haggerty earned a bachelor's degree from the University of New Hampshire. He has served as a member of the board of the Woburn Friends of VNA, a board member of the Middlesex County Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Partnership, a member of the Woburn Elks, and a member of the Woburn Historical Society.[1]

|As a product of the public school system, Rich knows first-hand the importance of having a strong public education and the need to support our teachers. As a business and community leader, Rich combines his real-world experience and passion for civic engagement to deliver results for his constituents.
As State Representative, Rich serves on the Joint Committee on Education, Joint Committee on Financial Services, Joint Committee on Environment, Natural Resources, and Agriculture (ENRA), and the House Standing Committee on Global Warming and Climate Change.
Prior to his time in the Legislature, Rich was Woburn's longest serving City Council President and was five times elected Alderman at Large. Rich also serves on the Board of the Woburn Friends of VNA, is a Board member of the Middlesex County Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Partnership, an active member of the Woburn Elks and serves on the Woburn Historical Society.
Rich is a proud graduate of Woburn High School, and received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of New Hampshire in Political Science with a concentration in Foreign Policy.
