Richard Hartshorne
Richard Hartshorne (1888-1975) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Hartshorne was nominated by President Harry Truman on October 17, 1951, to a seat vacated by Guy Laverne Fake; he was confirmed by the Senate on October 19, 1951, and received his commission on October 20th.[1] He assumed senior status on October 29, 1961, and served in that capacity until his death on September 14, 1975. Hartshorne was succeeded in this position by Mitchell Cohen.
