Richard Hollington
Richard Hollington was a Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives, representing District 98. A former state representative, Hollington was appointed in 2010 and 2011 to fill vacancies in District 98.[1]
After being appointed to replace Matt Dolan in early 2010, Hollington decided not to run for election in the fall. This allowed state senator Timothy Grendell (R) to run for the District 98 seat--a seat formerly held by Grendell. Grendell chose to run despite having two years remaining in his four-year Senate term. However, after winning the election, Grendell expressed concern over the candidates under consideration to replace him in the Senate and decided to retain his seat, leaving a vacancy in House District 98.[2] Hollington was again selected to fill the vacancy.[3]
In November 2011, Hollington was elected mayor of Hunting Valley and resigned his seat.[4]
