Richard Joseph Garcia is a probate court judge for the Ingham County Probate Court in Ingham County, Michigan.[1] He was appointed to the bench by former Governor John Engler in February 2000 and was elected to the court in November 2000. Garcia was subsequently re-elected for full six-year terms in 2002, 2008, and 2014.[2][3]

Education
Garcia received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1983 and his J.D. degree from the University of Michigan in 1985.[2]
Career
Before he became a judge, Garcia worked as an attorney in private practice. He was an associate at the firms of Howrey & Simon and Foster, Swift, Collins & Smith. He then worked as a partner at the law firm of Adkins & Garcia, in Lansing, Michigan.[2]
