Richard L. Bohanon was a bankruptcy judge for the United States bankruptcy court, Western District of Oklahoma. He retired from his post in February 2010. He passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the age of 75.[1]
Education
Judge Bohanon earned his Bachelors degree at Dartmouth College and his Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of Oklahoma.[2]
Witness to Terrorist Attacks
Richard Bohanon was one of few people to witness both the Oklahoma City Bombing and the September 11th attacks. On April 19, 1995 he was at work in the nearby courthouse and was showered by shattered glass and ceiling tiles when the bomb went off. On September 11, 2001 he watched a billowing plume of smoke while walking to work several blocks away from the World Trade Center.[3]
