Richard L. Hammer is a judge of the Michigan 21st District Court. His current term ends on January 1, 2027.

Hammer is the chief judge for the court.[1] He has served on the court since 1990 and was appointed chief judge in January 2012 for a two-year term ending in 2014.[2] On November 4, 2014, Hammer was re-elected unopposed for another six-year term.[3]

Hammer received both his undergraduate and J.D. degrees from the University of Detroit Mercy.[4]
