Richard Lee Price was a justice of the Bronx County Supreme Court, Criminal Term in the 12th Judicial District of New York. He was elected to this position in 2003 and his last term expired in 2016.[1][2]

Education

Price received his B.A. degree from Roanoke College in 1961 and his J.D. degree from the New York Law School in 1964. He was also deemed an honorary Doctor of Laws by Shaw University in 1980.[1]

Career

Prior to graduating from law school, Price worked for the Consumer Frauds Bureau and Labor Bureau of the NY Dept. of Law from 1962 to 1964. He practiced law with Arnold D. Roseman, Esq. (1965), Zoloto, Karger & Zurkow, Esq. (1965-1967), and Harry H. Lipsig, Esq. (1967-1969). He then worked as a law secretary to New York City Civil Court Judge Harry Davis until 1976 and then as a Chief Law Assistant on this court until 1980.

Price began his judicial career in 1980, when he was elected to the New York City Civil Court of New York County. He served on this court through 2002. He was also an Acting Supreme Court Justice in the 1st and 12th Judicial Districts from 1981 to 2002. In 2003, he was elected a Supreme Court Justice of Bronx County.[1]
