Richard Lusby is a judge for the Arkansas 2nd Judicial Circuit Court in Arkansas. He was elected in the general election on March 1, 2016.[1]

Previously, Lusby ran for District 1, Position 2 judge on the Court of Appeals in Arkansas. This position was previously held by Judge Raymond Abramson.[2]

Education

Lusby received his undergraduate degree from Ouachita Baptist University and his J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville School of Law. He also earned a graduate degree from Baylor University.[3]

Career

Lusby has been in private practice for over 30 years.[4]

Richard Lusby ran unopposed in the general election for the Division 2 (At-Large) seat on the 2nd Judicial Circuit.

Lusby was defeated by Judge Phillip Whiteaker and Jeannette Robertson in the primary election on May 22, 2012, receiving only 29.47 percent of the vote.[5][6]
