Richard M. Neiter was a federal bankruptcy judge for the United States bankruptcy court, Central District of California. Neiter was appointed on May 18, 2006, to a fourteen-year term. He retired from the court on September 10, 2016.[1][2]

Neiter passed away in January 2020.[3]

Education

Judge Neiter attended the University of California at Los Angeles for his Bachelor of Science in 1959 (with honors) and the University of Southern California Law Center, for his J.D. in 1962). He later attended Pepperdine University School of Law for general and advanced courses in Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution.[1]

Career

From 1962 to 2006 Neiter was a member of Stutman, Treister & Glatt Professional Corporation and from 1995 to 2006 he was a mediator for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.[1]
