My name is Richard MacQuarrie. I am a father of 5 soon to be 6 wonderful children and a Business Development Manager. My goal for the Island County Treasurers office is to hire qualified people to fill our 8 positions, train them and retain them. One of my focuses will be to work to eliminate waste in the office, and to make the budget easier to access. I have committed to not forget we are a county of 2 islands. I have promised to be in Camano at least 1 work week a day so the people of Camano don’t have to drive all the way to Coupeville to see their elected official. I’d be honored by your vote. Thank you all so much.
The biggest area I will be focusing on is keeping the people of Island County informed and updated about the actions of the Treasurers office. Public outreach and accessibility are absolutely necessary if we are going to have a Transparent government.
