Richard Marrs
Richard Marrs (Republican Party) ran for election to the Kentucky House of Representatives to represent District 76. Marrs lost in the general election on November 6, 2018.
Marrs was a 2014 Republican candidate for District 76 of the Kentucky House of Representatives.[1] Marrs ran unsuccessfully for the same seat in 2012.
Biography
Marrs attended the University of Kentucky, receiving a bachelor's degree in communications. Marrs is married and has four children.[2]

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was January 28, 2014. Incumbent Ruth Ann Palumbo ran unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Richard Marrs defeated Lavinia Theodoli Spirito in the Republican primary. Palumbo defeated Marrs in the general election.[1][3][4]

Marrs ran in the 2012 election for Kentucky House of Representatives District 76. He defeated Lavinia Theodoli Spirito in the Republican primary on May 22, 2012, and was defeated by incumbent Ruth Ann Palumbo (D) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[5][6]

Marrs' opponent in the November 2 general election was Democratic incumbent Ruth Palumbo. According to official results, Palumbo defeated Marrs by a margin of 8,085 to 5,679.[7]
Marrs ran unopposed in the May 18 Republican primary election.[8][9]
