Richard Martyr was a member of the St. Vrain Valley School District Board of Education in Colorado, representing District E. He left office on November 8, 2023.

Martyr won re-election to the St. Vrain Valley School District Board of Education to represent District E in Colorado outright after the general election on November 5, 2019, was canceled.

Martyr was first elected on November 3, 2015. He won the election uncontested.

General election

The general election was canceled. Richard Martyr (Nonpartisan) won without appearing on the ballot.

2015

Four of the seven seats on the St. Vrain Valley School District Board of Education were up for by-district general election on November 3, 2015.

The seats of District C incumbent Robert "Bob" Smith, District E incumbent John Creighton, and District G incumbent Mike Schiers were up for election. There was also a special election for the District A seat held by Joie Siegrist.[1][2]

Creighton and Schiers did not file to run for re-election, guaranteeing two newcomers would join the board. Smith and Siegrist ran unopposed and won re-election to Districts C and A, respectively. Challengers Richard Martyr and Amory Siscoe also ran unopposed and won the District E and District G seats, respectively.[3]

Results

Since no seat was contested, the election in this district was cancelled and all candidates automatically elected.
