Efforts in Denmark, Maine, to recall Board of Selectmen Chairman Richard Mason, Jr. and Selectman Beverly Caparco, from their positions were launched in 2015.[1] These efforts were defeated at the ballot box on June 30, 2015.[2] A selectman is a member of the executive body in towns that operate under the open town meeting form of government.

Recall supporters
Mason and Caparco were targeted for recall over their refusal to fire town manager Daniel Merhalski. Merhalski resigned prior to the recall election.[1][2]
Path to the ballot
Petitioners needed to collect 186 signatures. They turned in 213 signatures to move the recall forward.[1]
