Richard Morse, Jr.
Richard Morse, Jr. was a nonpartisan candidate for Governor of Hawaii in the 2014 elections.[1] In June, Morse was prevented from running in the general election when the Hawaii Office of Elections disqualified several nonpartisan candidates from the ballot. This decision was reached because the nonpartisan gubernatorial candidates did not have running mates in the lieutenant gubernatorial election as required by the Hawaii Constitution.[2]
