Richard Ravitch
Richard Ravitch is a former Lieutenant Governor of New York. He was appointed by Gov. David Paterson (D) on July 8, 2009. Ravitch served until 2010.[1]
In this position, Ravitch also served as President of the New York State Senate.
Biography
Ravitch began operating a real estate development firm after graduating from law school. Ravitch was appointed in 1975 to the New York State Urban Development Corporation and in 1979 to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. His professional experience also includes serving as chairman of the Bowery Savings Bank and president of the player relations committee for Major League Baseball.[1]

Ravitch was appointed as lieutenant governor by David Paterson (D) on July 8, 2009. He served until 2010, when successor Robert Duffy was elected.[1]
