Rivette described himself as a "strict Constitutionalist." He lists two objectives for the state:
- Raise our state up from a business climate of 44th in the nation to first. We achieve this through eliminating most taxes and much of the tax code. We move to a fair tax. We encourage and support entrepreneurial ventures and foreign investment. We attract business relocation through good policies plus part two which is:
- School choice. All parents receive a voucher to create robust competition among public, private, religious, charter, online, homeschool and other options.[17]
