Richard S. Hoffman
Richard S. Hoffman was a judge of the New Jersey Superior Court Appellate Division. He assumed office on August 1, 2012. He left office on November 1, 2022.
Education
Hoffman earned a B.A. from the University of Delaware, and a J.D. from Rutgers University.[1][2]
Career
Hoffman was appointed the New Jersey Superior Court by Governor Jim McGreevey in 2004. He first served as a judge in the family division of Gloucester, Cumberland and Salem Counties Vicinage, and then in the civil division starting in 2010. He was temporarily assigned to the Appellate Division in the first quarter of 2012, and was appointed to the court by Chief Justice Stuart Rabner in July of 2012.[2][3][4]
Prior to becoming a judge, Hoffman worked as a solicitor for the South Harrison Township and the Mantua Township Municipal Utilities Authority, as a municipal prosecutor for the South Harrison Township, Mantua Township, East Greenwich Township and Pitman, and finally as a partner at Hoffman, DiMuzio & Hoffman.[2]
