Richard Shaw is a member of the Folsom-Cordova Unified School District Board of Education in California. He was first elected to the board in November 2002.[1]

Shaw ran unopposed and won his bid for re-election to one of three at-large seats on November 4, 2014.[2][3][4]

Shaw is a retired school principal. He earned his bachelor's degree in biology from the State University of New York and his master's degree in educational administration from National University. Shaw also received a master's in governance from the California School Boards Association.[5]

Three at-large seats on the Folsom-Cordova Unified School District Board of Education were up for general election on November 4, 2014. The three incumbents, Zak Ford, Richard Shaw and Ed Short, ran unopposed and won re-election to their seats by default.

This election was canceled due to lack of opposition. Incumbents Zak Ford, Richard Shaw and Ed Short won re-election by default.[6]

Funding

The Sacramento County Voter Registration and Elections Office does not publish and freely disclose school board candidate campaign finance reports. Ballotpedia staffers directly requested this information, but the municipal office refused those requests to make that information public.[7]
