Richard T. Morrison is a federal judge on senior status with the United States Tax Court. He was appointed to the court by President George W. Bush in 2008 to a fifteen-year term. He assumed senior status on August 29, 2023.[1][2]

Education

Morrison earned B.A. and B.S. degrees from the University of Kansas in 1989 and a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School in 1993. He also studied for two years at Oxford University from 1987 to 1988. He also earned an M.A. from the University of Chicago in 1994.[2]

Morrison was nominated to the United States Tax Court by President George W. Bush and was confirmed by the Senate. Morrison joined the court on August 28, 2008.[2]
