In an article in the Albuquerque Journal, Vigil said he was running for the following reasons:[1]

  • Excerpt: "Returning to the New Mexico Legislature as State Representative for District 70 would allow me to return “seniority” back to District 70. I have the knowledge, experience and I am willing to work for the people of District 70 to represent their needs and concerns before the Legislature. I have proven that I am accessible to the not only to the people of District 70, but to the entire state of New Mexico.
