Born 1972 in San Francisco to hardworking immigrants from China and Guam, I grew up across the bay in Union City. I attended James Logan High School, Chabot Community College, UCSD and Golden Gate University School of Law. I began practicing law in 2000. I was registered as Democrat since 2016 but I changed my affiliation to "No Party Preference" immediately before filing my candidacy papers on August 8, 2024.

I come from working class roots. My father came to SF Chinatown from Toisan, China in 1937. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and became a Merchant Marine thereafter. When he came back to San Francisco he joined ILWU Local 34 and worked on the docks until he retired. My mom was a civilian employee at the Oakland Army base for her entire career. I am the great-grandson of Chamorro hero, Vicente Baza, who was executed at Ta'i for aiding U.S. Navy Radioman George Tweed against the Japanese in Guam.

At heart, I'm an old school hippie and 49er faithful. I am a co-founder of Black Rock City Ice Cream at Burning Man. I love spending time with my family, coaching football and directing youth camp programs. I attended and volunteered with the Chinatown YMCA from 1984-1995. I have been a volunteer with CampSF from its' inception in 1995 - 2019. My passion is coaching youth sports and mentoring kids. I never sought public office, but I'm fed up! I can't stand idly by while our city is devastated by ridiculously poor judgment.
  • I promise to be a ferocious advocate for the PEOPLE of San Francisco, to defend their rights, protect city funds and finally establish transparent government with checks and balances.
  • Public safety and law enforcement are my priorities, and I'll enable them to provide health, safety, prosperity and order.
  • I am committed to working-class values. I am pro-family, pro-common sense and anti-fake politicians.
I want to eliminate grift and corruption from City Hall.
Honesty and integrity are the most important attributes of an elected official.
The City Attorney has a duty to represent the legal interests of the City and County of San Francisco. However, as an elected official, the City Attorney is also accountable to the electorate. I believe there needs to be a refocus towards the latter.
Baskin-Robbins was my first real job. I eventually became an assistant manager. It was the best job of my life because everyone like ice cream.
Experience is always beneficial but I think career politicians are bad for government.
I recently received the endorsement of the San Francisco Republican Party and the California Rifle and Pistol Association.
I want to establish real transparency, accountability and check and balances at City Hall.
