Rick A. Brueggemann is a judge of the 54th Judicial Circuit in Boone and Gallatin counties in Kentucky. He was elected in 2014 for an eight-year term commencing on January 5, 2015, and expiring on January 1, 2023. [1]

Brueggemann ran for election to the 54th Judicial Circuit.
Primary: He was successful in the primary on May 20, 2014, receiving 51.1 percent of the vote. He competed against Howard L. Tankersley, Edward Drennen, and Marcia L. Thomas.
General: He defeated Marcia L. Thomas in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 56.9 percent of the vote. [2][3] 

2010

Brueggemann lost his bid for election to the 54th Judicial Circuit. He was defeated by candidate Jeff Smith on November 2, 2010.[4]

Education

Brueggemann received his undergraduate degree from Northern Kentucky University in 2001 and his J.D. from the Northern Kentucky University Chase College of Law in 2004.[5]

Career

At the time of his judicial election in 2014, Brueggemann worked as an attorney in private practice with the law firm of Hemmer DeFrank PLLC in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky. He also served as the chairman of the Boone County Republican Party.[6][7]
