Elections
2011
On November 8, Austin faced fellow Republicans John Wilkinson, Curtis Burger, and David Strickland as well as Democrat Mary Beth Focer. Since no candidate received a majority of the vote, the top two vote getters--Austin and Wilkinson--proceeded to a runoff election on December 6 where Austin was defeated.[2][3][4]
2010
Austin ran for re-election to the 10th District seat in 2010. He had no opposition in the July 20 primary and no one filed to run against him in the general election. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[5]
